Wheeldon Homes makes major investment in a fleet of New JCB’s

Derby based house builder Wheeldon has started the new year with major investment in a new fleet of JCB equipment, purchased through T C Harrison Derby.

Wheeldon’s Managing Director, James Parkin along with Andy Startin, Wheeldon’s Director of Production were delighted to see the site based production team, drive the new fleet away.

The fleet order consists of four JCB 535-125 HiViz Loadall telehandlers which offer impressive reach capabilities to complement its 3500kg lift capacity. They are also designed specifically to maximise safety on site. As the name suggests, the HiViz telescopic handlers offer amazing visibility and are safer for bystanders. What’s more, they offer unrivalled manoeuvrability, build quality and operator comfort combined with improving productivity, efficiency, and serviceability too.

James Parkin, Wheeldon’s Managing Director said the acquisition of the new site handling equipment will undoubtedly lead to much greater efficiency and safety on site and enable our teams to work with the very latest site equipment.

Wheeldon Brothers celebrate their 150th year anniversary in 2017, as the company was first set up by brothers George and William, both joiners, in Belper way back in 1867. They quickly developed a name for themselves for excellent building practise and quality of workmanship, as they built much needed homes around Derbyshire.

Today the company is based in Derby, and continues to foster an ethos of quality in everything they do. All their homes are constructed by craftsman, selected by Wheeldon for their proven expertise in house-building. Their skills are self-evident in the quality and range of houses they build, from starter homes through to spacious family houses, all designed to make life more comfortable and to ensure that their owners will be proud of their property for years to come.

2017 sees the company in fine shape with several new developments under construction, with more promised for 2017. The first two of these new developments will be Meerbrook Winze, Wirksworth, a new development offering a range of well-appointed 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes, set on the outskirts of this thriving market town. Secondly, Moor Croft, Matlock, where every property planned will bring sought-after luxury to this historical spa town, with a collection of 3, 4 & 5 bedroom homes designed to capture modern comforts and all finished to the highest standards and specification to stand the test of time. Both these sites are anticipated to launch this spring to early summer.
