As our regular readers will appreciate, we promote a number of partner events through our website and associated social media. This is in order to raise awareness of local business events across a range of different topics. Attending these events is not only beneficial to your business, but they can often deliver in terms of payback. Especially since lots of them are completely free of charge. In November, there are two events in particular which we would like to draw your attention to. But please keep an eye on our events calendar, which is constantly being updated, for a number of other events.
How to Secure Public Sector Contracts in North Nottinghamshire
Interested in finding out how to increase your chances of gaining lucrative public sector contracts in north Nottinghamshire? Then join us at our FREE procurement event at the Summit Centre in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The event, which runs from 8am to 10am on Tuesday 7 November, will not only help to clarify the processes involved but it will also showcase locally available opportunities.
Furthermore, we will also outline the support available and share some examples of best-practice. We are holding this event in conjunction with the East Midlands Chamber, other local authorities, the NHS and Mansfield & Ashfield 2020. The whole thing is primarily aimed at small firms and the local voluntary/community sector.
You may not realise it but, over recent years, public sector organisations have proactively taken steps to simplify the whole procurement process. This has been done in order to help local firms pitch for available contracts. Indeed, many contracts are now broken down into smaller components. As a result, there are a number of lucrative and accessible opportunities for both SMEs and social enterprises.
In a bid to keep their expenditure local, the public sector is eager to clarify some common misconceptions about what the process entails. Not only that, but we would also like to welcome more tenders, help raise quality standards and promote best-value. This seminar offers an informal opportunity to raise any questions (or concerns) about existing processes. In addition, it provides suppliers with an opportunity to ask questions for public buyers to address. Find out more and register.
