Independent financial services broker Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) has underlined its commitment to providing a personal service to its customers by appointing a new Business Relationship Manager, increasing the team to 21.
Stuart Buchan has joined the firm on the back of a long career in asset finance with Lombard Business Finance where he worked as a relationship manager with responsibility for business customers in the East Midlands.
Midlands Asset Finance is continuing its expansion and has appointed Stuart as part of its ongoing strategy to support smaller businesses across the East Midlands to increase their capacity to invest and to grow.
Stuart said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at MAF and really looking forward to developing relationships with MAF’s existing clients and building new ones as well.
“I’m passionate about working with people, getting to understand what makes them and their businesses tick and then being able to deliver solutions which exceed their expectations
“It all boils down to trust and that’s where we come into our own, because we can deliver a personal service to all our clients.”
Born in Belfast, Stuart moved to the South East of England with his family in 1979. He came to Nottingham, as a relationship manager, 15 years ago and currently lives near Newark.
MAF Director Dave Chapman said: “Many asset finance providers have moved their smaller retail customers to a call centre but we believe customers should have a choice as many customers like doing business face to face with someone who is prepared to invest time in understanding their business.
“We’re giving customers two routes to market – face-to-face and online.
“For those customers who are comfortable dealing with funders online, we have launched Asset Finance Compared which compares a wide panel of funders and delivers an instant decision in principle online for businesses with an asset finance requirement.
“While other comparison sites divert the user straight to a funder once a quote has been provided, our in-house team deals with the entire process. From quote, to decision, to paying out a transaction.”
