Renowned international gym franchise Snap Fitness has officially opened a new branch in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
Snap Fitness, which is open 24-hours a day for 365 days a year, has an international presence with over 2,000 active branches in areas such as Dubai, India and London.
Nottingham-based law firm Fraser Brown helped secure the lease for the 7000 sq ft premises on The Pipeworks retail park in Swadlincote, which now features free weights, cardio equipment, functional training studios and showers with individual bathrooms.
The gym will also have a virtual class system for members to choose from. Once a class is selected it will then appear on a big screen so that members can follow the workouts at their own leisure.
The Swadlincote branch will bring five new permanent jobs to the area as well as five self employed personal trainer positions.
Daniel Smith, area manager at Snap Fitness, said: “I am so pleased to reveal the new Swadlincote Snap Fitness branch to the public. We’ve had a great response from the local community.
“We opened our first Snap Fitness branch over three years ago and have never looked back. I was attracted to the quality of equipment, fit out and the flexibility that the brand offered, for instance, once someone is a member at one gym they can go to any other branch worldwide.
“We’d like to thank Fraser Brown for its continued support and for helping to secure the lease on our third branch, the team had our best interests at heart and made the process run very smoothly, the results have been fantastic.”
Patrick Wood, managing partner at Fraser Brown, assisted Daniel and his team with the leases of all three of their current Snap Fitness branches in Ilkeston, Market Harborough and Swadlincote.
Patrick said: “Snap Fitness is a well-known franchise across the world and will be a fantastic new addition to the region, and I’m sure Daniel and his team will have a great reception from the public.
“Daniel is very passionate about the gym industry and he has been a pleasure to work with. I’m looking forward to assisting him with his future endeavours.”
