Smaller businesses are being offered free guidance on how to win public sector contracts. Firms across north Nottinghamshire will, for the first time, be able to take part in one of East Midlands Chamber’s public procurement seminars.
The aim of the seminar is to advise smaller companies about the opportunities available. And also clarify the procedures for applying for them. The seminar is being delivered in conjunction with Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Mansfield District Councils, Mansfield & Ashfield 2020, the NHS and Nottinghamshire County Council.
Nick Chischniak is Representation Manager at East Midlands Chamber, who has helped put the two-hour event together. Nick commented: “This free event focuses on public procurement processes. Furthermore, it seeks to enable more small organisations to feel empowered about tendering for locally-available work across North Nottinghamshire.”
He also added: “It aims to clarify the process involved, as well as showcase where the opportunities can be found. In addition, it will outline the support available and share some examples of best-practice.”
