Over the last few months we’ve made a few changes to our grants. These are now available to firms across Ashfield and Mansfield. We have retail grants, both for vacant premises and for shop front improvements, business start-up and growth grants. What’s more, since it’s our own money, we try to keep the process as simple as possible. Depending on the type of grant, between £1,000 and £5,000 is available on a 50/50 basis. So if you are spending £10,000 or more, up to £5,000 could be available. Find out more on our dedicated business grants page.
You may not be aware but certain parts of Ashfield and Mansfield are designated as rural areas. If your business is located in one of these, then certain grants could be available to you. At the start of November, we are contributing towards an event on finance for growth businesses. The event will be held on Wednesday 8 November at the Civic Quarter. In short, this event will pull together all the different finance options available locally, regionally and nationally to help your business grow. In addition, on the day before this, we will be running another event in partnership with the Chamber. This event is all about helping local firms access more public procurement opportunities.
