COMMUNITY CENTRE ‘TOPPED OUT’ AT THE BRACKENS

COMMUNITY CENTRE ‘TOPPED OUT’ AT THE BRACKENS

A topping out ceremony for the new community centre on Radstone Fields in Brackley was recently held to mark the final phase of its build before launching.

The new hub is located on Barratt Homes’ Halse Road development The Brackens and has been designed as a multi-functional space to enable social engagements and meetings. Members of the Barratt team attended the event to see the roof being put on the building.

The Brackens is a stunning development of family and starter homes that has proven popular since its initial launch thanks to its quality design, convenient transport links and well-regarded schooling nearby.

The seating in the community centre has been chosen so that it can be stored away to create a flexible space for musical and theatrical performances to take place as well community events, weddings and conferences. The ground floor also comprises changing rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, office, toilets, an entrance lobby and a separate meeting room available for hire.

The new building will provide excellent facilities, bringing significant benefit to the wider community. A palette of natural materials has been chosen, including distinctive limestone and a slate roof, ensuring the design and finish are in keeping with the surrounding area.

Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “As a leading homebuilder we not only care about building quality homes, but ensuring the wider area is a fantastic place to live and we are delighted to see the final touches being made to the community centre.

“New and existing residents in Brackley will be able to benefit from fantastic facilities such as this for years to come.

“The Brackens has proven a very popular development with a range of buyers and we’re looking forward to welcoming more people to find their ideal home.”

Steeped in history, Brackley is home to a charming market place surrounded by tree- lined avenues, 18th Century buildings and an old town area around a Medieval church.

As well as a weekly market, the area has something for everyone, boasting a range of shops, hair salons and restaurants, plus sought-after schooling and excellent transport links giving easy routes to Northampton, Milton Keynes and Oxford.

For F1 enthusiasts, Brackley is the home of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team and best of all Silverstone is only a short distance away.

The community centre is due to be finished and operational by early 2019.
