Since then, Peter has built and grown a large car audio retailer, which was a runaway success as a result of video tutorials on Social Media (and was featured in The Sunday Times). After finishing his Marketing degree at the University of Lincoln, he launched Distract ; which is one of the regions fastest growing specialist Advertising Agencies.

Andrew PritchardDirector of Policy & Infrastructure, East Midlands Councils
Andrew is Director of Policy and Infrastructure for East Midlands Councils and Senior Policy Advisor for Midlands Connect. He has had 25 years professional experience in local government covering planning, transport, housing, economic development and European issues. Most recently he has led the development of an East Midlands proposition for HS2, and helped to establish the Midlands Connect partnership. Andrew also acts as principle advisor to Transport for the East Midlands (TfEM). Andrew holds a degree in Geography for the University of Hull and an MA in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Sheffield. He is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Past Chair of the East Midlands RTPI, currently holding the post of Honorary Secretary. He was elected as a Trustee of the Town and County Planning Association (TCPA) in 2016 and a Vice Chair in 2018, and previously served on the TCPA’s Policy Council from 2013. Andrew sits on the Executive Board of Rail Forum Midlands, an industry body that represents the largest cluster of rail companies in the world. He has previously worked for West Devon Borough Council and Lincolnshire County Council. In 1999 he joined the East Midlands Regional Local Government Association (EMRLGA) to work on regional planning. In April 2003, Andrew moved across to the Regional Assembly as Director of Housing, Planning & Transport, and then over to East Midlands Councils in April 2010.

Rosie Smith is the Bank’s Agent for the East Midlands. In that role, she and her Deputy, Pam Wright, help policymakers at the Bank understand the workings of the economy better by talking to the businesses, organisations and people who make up the economy of the East Midlands. Another important part of her role is to communicate the Bank’s views on the economy to those businesses, organisations and people. Combining those things contributes to the Bank’s mission of promoting the good of the people of the UK by maintaining monetary and financial stability. Rosie has worked for the Bank since 1986, half of that time in various roles in London and half as part of the Bank’s network of regional Agents. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and two teenage sons.
